Art Visions Gallery and Studio - The Only Gallery at Smith Mountain Lake

Art Visions Gallery and Studio was formed by a group of 13 artists to share artistic ideas and visions and to be active participants in the local art community. The Gallery provides a unique venue for these artists to show and sell their work, as well as provide a place for the artists to paint and to conduct classes. I live in Hardy, Virginia, having moved here from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I have been painting since 1987 and photography since 1962. While stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado I was involved with the base photography hobby shop.

I learned a great deal from my amazing art teachers, Marcella Murphy and Nancy Stellhorn. The awards I have received through the years are very much appreciated. Practice, practice, practice. I love doing acrylic, watercolor, pen & ink, colored pencil and mixed media. I am continuing to learn more.

Painting Parties

Girls/Guys night/afternoon out, date night, special birthday celebrations or private parties.

All art supplies are provided, just bring a fun group of friends and the painting party can begin. One of our local artists will assist you through the process of a painting from start to finish. No previous art experience is required and at the end of the party you will have completed your very own masterpiece. We can accommodate groups of 8-10 people and ages 10 - ??
